Kelce’s touchdown on Wednesday meant the 35-year-old athlete won. Tony GonzalezHe previously held the record for most receiving touchdowns in a career. During the celebration, Kelce cut the ball in tribute to Gonzalez himself.

It is against NFL rules to throw the football over the goal post, and often results in a hefty fine for unsportsmanlike conduct. The league has not confirmed further details about a potential fine.

Kelce’s touchdown He led the leaders to victory 29-10 over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Him and his teammate Patrick Mahomes they were named official game MVPs, winning Santa-inspired inflatable costumes and a red velvet cake wrapped in the shape of a football.
In a postgame interview, Kelce talked about his milestone receiving record.
“It’s everything to me. Tony’s been a mentor to me, he’s been there for me (any questions I’ve ever had),” Kelce said. “I feel like I’m still trying to fill that guy’s shoes.”

Quarterback Mahomes, 29, also acknowledged Kelce’s performance.
“We have a lot of weapons out there. We’re just getting healthy at the right time,” Mahomes said. “The big boy carries us all, but we have boys everywhere. I’m trying to hang on as long as I can.’

The Chiefs’ win over the Steelers gives Missouri the No. 1 seed in the AFC conference.
