RHOBH recap: Drama unfolds and curses fly at Kyle Richards’ party

Kyle Richards organized his “first” solo evening The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the drinks were flowing, but so was the drama.

Kyle, 55, came up with the idea for her Denim and Diamonds party earlier in the episode on Tuesday, December 17. She explained in her confessional that it’s “funny” to host an event without her estranged husband. Maurice Umansky. (Kyle and Mauricio separated in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage.)

“There was always something going wrong that I would help with,” Kyle said. “I feel a little strange. I don’t know what to put on the invitations. … I feel a little lost.”

Kyle’s feelings of worry seemed to subside, at least until Camille Grammer arrived at the event. Kyle confided in Camille, 56, saying it’s been “really hard” dealing with her split from Mauricio.

“He’s on this bachelor pad, no responsibilities,” Kyle said. Camille replied, “It’s a party for them. Midlife crisis, that’s fun, young girls. … I know. Been there, done that.”

Kyle confessed that he thought Camille was “projecting a little bit” when he revisited the exchange in his confessional. (Camille was married to Kelsey Grammer from 1997 to 2010. The end of their marriage was chronicled RHOBA season 1.)

“Mau has done some things I could live without, what have I done? I had to look on the internet? Yeah, sure,” Kyle continued. “But Camille’s experience and mine are very different. I mean, it could be a lot worse.”

As the party progressed, Bozoma Sant Joan decided to “call a tribal council” to discuss what happened in Oceanside during last week’s episode. (Dorit Kemsley had discussions with Kyle and Sutton Stracke.)

Things between Sutton, 53, and Dorit, 48, came to a head when they sat down with the full cast.

“You’re mad and you’re not mad at me. You’re mad at your life,” Sutton declared, referring to Dorit’s split from PK Kemsley. “Don’t take it from me. It’s not my fault you’re in the position you’re in.”

Kyle called Sutton’s statement is a ‘low blow’ in his confessional. “Why would you tell him that right now? By the way, I agree, but I’m not going to tell him that right now,” she added.

Dorit was quick to respond. (Elsewhere in the episode, Dorit claimed that Sutton doesn’t “give a f—” about what’s going on.)

“I’m being open and honest and truthful and transparent,” she said. “My life is shit right now. I’m not in a good place at all and I have zero tolerance for more bulls—. It’s as simple as that. How is transparent, honest and open?”

Camille said she “regrets barging in,” but wanted to add her two cents about Dorit.

“Years ago, my house burned down. I lost my house, I lost my assistant for many years, and I didn’t get a lot of compassion or empathy from some, especially from Dorit,” she said. Dorit responded, “Honey, you were a c… for to me”.

All the RHOBA the women were stunned by Dorit’s statement.

“You were a total c— to me. … I called you stupid c—. No af—ing c—. I did it as a joke,” Dorit continued, referencing a moment in season 8. “I said you’re stupid… as a joke. You know I did. … You’ve always known that, Camille.

Dorit also reflected on her past RHOBH moment in her confessional.

“Once upon a time, I regretted calling Camille (explains c—). Now, I feel like Camille is a stupid piece of shit…”.

Camille claimed that “condescending” Dorit often poses as a sidekick RHOBA “on hold”.

“Where have you been Camille? What are you doing here?” said Dorit. “What are you doing here? You need a moment.”

Camille then remembered meeting Dorit for the first time Erika Jayne — but I forgot Erika’s name.

“My name is Erika,” she said with a laugh. (In her confessional, Erika simply stated, “F—.”)

“You’re a different person now, Dorit,” Camille continued back at the party. “I don’t know what happened to you, but you’ve changed.”
