London – Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was invested in the struggles of the American technology giant in China after a report claimed that the country had banned its artificial intelligence chips.
Huang said he was “disappointed” after the Financial Times announced on Wednesday that the cyberspace administration in China had ordered companies, including Tiktok -mother bytedance and Alibaba not to buy the NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000d, a chip that is made for the country.
Responding to a question about the FT report, Huang said on Wednesday that “we can only be in operation on the market if the country wants to be from us.”
“We probably contributed more to the China market than most countries. And I’m disappointed with what I see,” Huang said. “But they have more programs for working between China and the United States. I understand this.”
He comes after a few years for Nvidia’s business in China, which Huang described as a “small train”.
“We have directed all financial analysts not to include China,” Huang told reporters on Wednesday at a briefing at the London press. “The reason for this is that this will largely be within the discussions of the United States and the Chinese Government.”

The US had previously had imposed restrictions on exports On NVIDIA’s AI chips to China – including a smaller powerful server chip called H20 – because of fears of national security.
In August, however, the White House announced that the president Donald Trump And Huang had concluded a deal in which NVIDIA will receive export licenses in exchange for 15% of Chinese H20 sales that go to the US government.
The latest news on Wednesday is another blow to NVIDIA’s Chinese business. Earlier this week the State Administration of China for Regulation of the Market Open the Antimonopol Investigation of NVIDIA Over the acquisition of Mellanox, an Israeli technology company that creates network solutions for data and servers.
Huang accompanies Trump to his state visit to the United Kingdom this week.
On Tuesday Nvidia announced £ 11 billion ($ 15 billion) investment in the United Kingdom infrastructure AI. And was not alone – a set of other American technology giants, including Microsoft., Google and SalesforceThey have also announced multimillion -dollar investments in AI in the country.
Despite the current geopolitical situation, Huang emphasized the importance of the Chinese AI sector.
“The Chinese market is important. It is big. The technology industry is vibrant. We have been in operation for 30 years,” said the NVIDIA chief.
He added that NVIDIA “will continue to support the Chinese government and Chinese companies as they wish, and of course, we will continue to support the US government as they all sort these geopolitical policies.”
