Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton has joined the Ligue 1 Lyon side for a £ 15m fee.
The 22nd, who moved through the Reds Academy to make his senior debut in 2021, made 14 appearances in all competitions, spending some time on the league with Hull and Blackburn.
However, England U21 International, who was part of the Lee Carsley squad who successfully defended the crown of their European championship this summer, found consistent play time at the Anfield Club Limited.
He now joins a Lyon team who suffered a few months upset. They were initially removed for the second level of France due to bad finance but then re-entered the top flight after winning their appeal.
Liverpool spending on the summer transfer market has already exceeded £ 250m, in the same way as Florian Wartesz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Martardashvili and Armin Pecsi all pass through the door.
Morton’s Moving away comes after the departure of Jarrell Quansah-another Academy graduate-Bayer Leverkusen for £ 35m last month.
The sale of academy products, such as Morton and Quansah, are vital for clubs to adhere to the rules of the profit and sustainability of the Premier League.
Luis Diaz, Caoimhin Kellherer and Trent Alexander-Arnold also left Liverpool this summer.
