Aston Villa Master Unai Emery was left annoyed with regret after his side fell into the Premier League this season.
The villans traveled to Sunderland and searched slightly while finally being able to pick up three points after an early red card for the hosts.
But despite Matty Cash’s long-term strike giving visitors the advantage, Wilson Isidor caught the draw to make sure the points were broken.
Speaking after the match, Emery could not hide his sour mood.
He said: “Frustrated and disappointed a little, but not with the result. It should be easier to take advantage (against 10 players) but we have not played with our identity, with the ideas we have been building up in the last three years.
“With some new players we want to adapt to the players we have, and we know that we want to control the game, to dominate but I am more disappointed and frustrated for how we did not get our identity.
“There is still work to do with the point we have achieved, not enough, of course, after playing with another player for 60 minutes, we must be happy, we must work and be demanding, to bring our consistency through our demands.”
