Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new long -term contract – reported to be five years old – with Arsenal.
The previous 18-year-old midfielder’s agreement had only 12 months left and the Gunners went to tie one of their best young talents.
He said: “This means everything for me, I’m glad I did it. This is where I feel at home, and where I will develop the best. I’m ready.
“I’m very excited. I see this as my first real season, and part of a suitable squad in the changing room. I’m so excited for what I can get to the team and how I can help the team.
“I’m a very versatile player, so I think I will play anywhere around the front five, and I’m ready to do what the manager needs.”
Nwaneri, who has been with Arsenal since he was eight, enjoyed a breakthrough in 2024-25, made 37 appearances and scored nine goals.
I adapted to the Premier League – Nwaneri
He was named the club player of the month for February after scoring a spectacular goal in Manchester City’s 5-1 demolition.
“I had to adapt to the claims of the Premier League, so I think I have changed physically, but also mentally as well as in terms of dealing with the disadvantages and injuries,” he said. “I think I definitely become stronger.
“I think it has actually been more direct over the past few years and has added more goals, so I’m excited for the following.”
