Amorim states that Manchester United “always complicated” after the tense victory over Chelsea

Ruben Amorim caught Manchester United’s ability to do complicated things after releasing Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils came out of Old Trafford as a 2-1 winners, but made life difficult for themselves in the raging rain.

Chelsea dropped to 10 men early after goalkeeper Robert Sanchez canceled Bryan Mbeumo onrushing, before Casemiro rushed the numbers after catching the second yellow card crime.

Still, United rushed to a 2-0 lead, before they came under pressure after a late Trevoh Chalobah strike.

They got the line, and amorim was grateful, though they still found some time to find some criticism.

Speaking after the game, he said: “Every victory especially at this moment is important, against a great opponent.

“We started the game on the right track. Really aggressive. The red card helped us dominate the game but we were already there.

“We scored two goals and then we tried to complicate our game again. It’s always complicated with us. This game should be different.”

On Casemiro: “He (feel) worse than me. We have won and so I forget a little and he will suffer because he is a great professional. He understands what he has done. He has enough experience that that games should not be played like that. He cares too much.

“We finally suffered but we deserved the victory.

“Our crowd, our fans are easy to please. If you give everything that will be there. This is something our players need to understand. To have the crowd with us we only need to move, fight and address.

“With this victory we must forget the good feeling of winning the game and returning to the urgency that we feel we need to win the next game.”
