3200 Boeing workers get up in Missouri and Illinois after rejecting the deal


More than 3,200 Boeing Union workers in Missouri and Illinois are on strike after the rejection of a four -year labor agreement with the aerospace company.

“IAM (International Association of Machinetors and Aerospace Workers) District 837 members are building planes and defense systems that keep our country safe,” General Vice President in the Iam Midwest Sam Cicinelli said in a statement. “They do not deserve anything less than a contract that supports their families secure and recognizes their incomparable expertise.”

The Union said in a press release that its workers “assemble and maintain advanced aircraft and weapons systems, including F-15, F/A-18 and avant-garde technologies for missile and defense technologies.”
